SYMPOSIUM INFORMATION
- The sessions of the 1st International Manuscript Symposium will be held on 10-12 December, 2025, in İstanbul at the Rami Library, Süleymaniye Manuscript Library and Beyazıt Manuscript Library as parallel sessions.
- Applications for the symposium must be made by filling out the form provided in the link.
- Applications will be accepted individually or as panels. Panel proposals should consist of three or four papers. For panel applications, a common panel title must be determined, and each panellist must upload an abstract of their paper separately, specifying the panel title.
- Each researcher can participate in the symposium with only one paper.
- The languages of the symposium are Turkish, Arabic, and English.
- The presentation time is 15 minutes.
- The full text of the papers presented at the symposium must be between 3000 and 7500 words. Abstracts of the papers will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, and only those deemed appropriate by the Committee will be accepted. If approved by the Committee, the presented papers will be published in book form by the Manuscript Institution of Türkiye.
- Only abstracts prepared in the format specified below will be accepted for symposium applications.
- Abstract: The abstract should provide information about the topic of the paper, the purpose and scope of the study, its method, primary sources, and the paper's unique contribution to the field. It should be between 150-250 words.
- Abstract Text: The abstract can be in Turkish, Arabic, or English.
- Email Address: The institution and title information should be included along with the email address.
- There is no participation fee for the symposium.
- Transportation and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participants.

- Announcement of Accepted Papers: June 20, 2025
- Full Paper Submission Deadline: October 30, 2025
- Where will the symposium take place?
The International Manuscript Symposium will be held in İstanbul.
- Do I need to pay a fee to participate?
There is no fee required for participation in the symposium.
- Will transportation and accommodation be provided by the organization?
Sempozyumun ulaşım ve konaklama giderleri katılımcılara aittir.
- Can I participate online in the symposium?
There will be no online presentations at the symposium.
- Can I submit the paper without making a presentation?
Papers will not be accepted without a presentation.
- Are both individual and panel applications accepted?
Yes, both individual and panel applications are accepted.
- Can I make more than one presentation at the symposium?
Each participant can make only one presentation at the symposium.
- What languages will be used for presentations?
The presentation languages at the symposium are Turkish, Arabic, and English.
- Will the papers presented at the symposium be published?
Papers that are positively reviewed by the Scientific Committee will be published.
- Where will the papers be published?
The papers will be published exclusively in the editorial book prepared by the Manuscripts Institution of Türkiye.
- Will there be a cultural tour?
Yes, various cultural tours will be organized during the symposium.
